Auckland Council is preparing shoreline adaptation plans (SAPs) across the region in partnership with mana whenua and local communities.

Tāmaki Estuary and Bucklands Beach to Pine Harbour

This Adaptation plan is for the following area:

Tāmaki Estuary shoreline

This shoreline extends from the mouth of the West Tāmaki Point (headland to the north of Karaka Bay) and continues east until Te Naupata / Musick Point.

It includes the suburbs:

  • Glendowie
  • Half Moon Bay
  • Pakuranga and Pakuranga Heights
  • Mount Wellington
  • Panmure.
