However, the process continues into 2026 with a “Further Submissions” stage and scheduled hearings.
Current Status and 2026 Timeline
As of January 2026, more than 5,000 submissions have been received and are currently under review. The key upcoming dates for 2026 are:
- February 26, 2026: Further submissions period opens.
- March 18, 2026: Further submissions period closes.
- Early 2026: Public hearings before an Independent Hearings Panel (IHP) are set to commence.
- Mid-2027: Final decisions on the plan change are expected.
